CRITERIA
Nominees need to meet the following criteria :
1. The submitted undergraduate or graduate thesis must have received a meritorious/laureate thesis award granted by the program where the student completed the degree
2. The thesis must be written in English and the research topic must fit within the scope of applied linguistics
3. The nomination must be submitted by the director or advisor of the thesis who must be a member of Asocopi
4. The thesis must be submitted in its original and graded form
5. Only two thesis can be submitted per program in each category
6. The thesis must have been completed during 2015 and 2016 for this year's award.
7. The submission must include the following appendices:
• A letter of recommendation written by the thesis director, stating why the thesis meets the criteria of academic quality and originality
• A letter of certification issued by the authorized office of the University, certifying that the thesis was awarded meritorious/laureate recognition
• A summary of the thesis of maximum 4 pages, written by the student in English and understandable to the layman
• The thesis document in its original and graded form in pdf format
8. Incomplete nominations will not be considered. Those who submit nominations will receive confirmation of receipt.
9. Submissions will be assessed for their academic quality and originality. The members of the Board of Directors of Asocopi will review submissions or invite external jurors to review them.
10. All nominations in each category must be made by July 31 at the latest each year.
